This version of Seek-a-Boo takes the hunt to the zoo. Big round cards of animals go on the floor, and your child steps from circle to circle looking for the one that matches the letter card you hold up.

  • 26 square FIND ME cards and 26 round SEEK ME cards, one pair per letter
  • Zoo animals pair with letters of the alphabet
  • Cards go on the floor so children move around as they search
  • Builds memory, vocabulary and letter recognition together
  • Grown-ups and kids play side by side, mixing and matching cards

How it plays at home

Lay the round cards face up around the room, then show your child a square card and let them go looking. The floor setup gets little legs moving, which suits kids who find it hard to sit at a table. For a bit more challenge, turn the round cards face down and play it as a memory game.

Say the animal name and the letter out loud each time you find a match. By the end of a few rounds, many children start to remember which animal belongs to which letter.

Fun and educational

Bought this for my preschool classroom. The children are given one card and have to find the matching card I “hid” in the room. When they bring the card to me, I have them name the letter before giving them a new card to find. We will start putting them in ABC order to add to the learning. I am bought more for my nephews because I think it is such a good game.

Perfect for wiggly learners

Must have for a typical boy who doesn’t learn just sitting down.

24/26 use first sound (Spalding) or most common sound

This is a great idea - excited to use in the classroom THIS WEEK! A couple of notes: Using images that begin with each letter’s most common/popular sound would be very helpful. Gg- Giraffe - would prefer Gopher Uu- Unicorn fish - would prefer Umbrella bird Other than that here’s my other suggestion… Vv- Vampire Bat - would prefer a more age appropriate animal that doesn’t frighten the children… perhaps Vulture?

My grandson loves these

My grandson loves these. He’s a little too young to match them yet, but he does know what each of the animals are. And he loves taking them out and putting them back in the box for some reason.
