Twangled is the kind of game that ends with everyone in a pretzel and laughing about it. A spinner tells players how to move, and the group has to work out how to untangle again. It is cooperative, so the goal is solving the knot together.

Spinner gives each move: step over, under or through
Cooperative goal: everyone untangles back to the starting position
Builds coordination, flexibility and clear communication
Suits kids, teens and adults playing at the same time
Recommended for ages 6 and up

How it plays at home

Spin, follow the instruction and let your arms and legs weave through the group until you are properly twisted up. Then comes the real puzzle: figuring out who needs to move where to get out. Talking, listening and a bit of patience make the difference.

It suits parties, family nights and classroom brain breaks where people need to get up and move. Clear the floor space before you start so nobody trips on a shoe. Tip: appoint one calm caller for each round who can direct the untangling.

Fun

Great game for the whole family. Kind of like twister only you don't have to get on the floor.

Fun family game

This is a fun, fun game to play with the family. It takes critical thinking skills (in a fun way) and teamwork. So great for our family of varying ages. Highly recommend.

Fun game if played correctly - spinner needs re-engineered

This is a fun game. But two suggestions - don't try playing with kids that are too young - we did and they continued to let go of the band, which of course ended the game and frustrated everyone else. Secondly - you cannot use spinner they way they suggest in the directions because it falls apart too easily. You need to have a designated "spinner" who does all the spinning of the wheel very gently by hand. So with the right age kids, who understand that they must hand on to the band or they will ruin the game for everyone, and with TLC to the spinner, this can be a fun game.

Fun for All Ages

This was a great game for a holiday family gathering because we had ages from 5 to 46 playing together, laughing, getting tangled and unwinding. The colors are bright, the bands were stretchy, and you don't need to know how to read to enjoy the game. The kick spinner was a good idea but ours was kind of stiff out of the box. We designated a spinner who didn't want to get "twangled" to spin for all of us (like Twister). It's quick enough that those who don't love it as much as the five year old can join in briefly. The youngest players brought it back to Grandma's house on day two of the visit to play again because they liked it so much. It's definitely more of a game with a larger group. You do not have to hold awkward positions like Twister because once you step over or duck under the band you can stand again.
