How it plays at home

Spread the four faces out and let the child choose who they want to build. A mustache here, a hat there, and suddenly there is a whole cast of characters to name and give voices to. Because the clings come off cleanly, a mistake is just the start of a new character.

This is a good pick for waiting rooms, back seats and rainy afternoons. When time is up, everything slides back into the tote in a minute. Tip: tuck the loose stickers onto one face board before closing the lid so nothing wanders off in the bottom of a bag.

Great for plane

I got these for a friend to help her occupy her 3-year-old daughter on a 10-hour international flight. She said that they were a life saver! Fun Gift

I bought this for my three year-old grand-daughter, and it kept her occupied for the longest time. My only complaint about the product is that the little plastic reusable stickers tend to fall off easily, and we had to spend some time hunting for them. It was worth it, though, as she enjoyed this item so much.

Grand-daughter loves these

Do not stick at all

Good idea but the stickers don't adhere to the provided frames. Got it as a travel toy for the car and used it first time for a 2 hour drive. This ended up being pretty frustrating for my 4 year old and my wife had to constantly apply a little water to the stickers to make them stick. Not worth it. Would recommend you look at Melissa and Doug sticker pads. They are almost half the price but last a long time.

I (still) truly wanted to like this product...

Update: Peaceable Kingdom sent me a new set of funny faces. The new set is truly an improvement over the other set. The backing peeled off easily this time with no tears to the storage sheets. The pieces stick much better to the faces, and most of the pieces stayed straight. However, large pieces still curl when trying to apply them to the face. My 3 year old was unable to apply hair and the fan. The pieces don't stick to each other making them want to come off when you overlap them. Still, for a rainy day project this will keep the kids busy for a half and hour which is a bit of a record really. Original post: This was bought to be a quiet toy for church. My children were immediately drawn to the colorful faces and fun "stickers". Unfortunately this product did not live up to our expectations. First, you have to peel a background off, which went fine, but when we then tried to remove the features, the first layer of foundation board peeled off also. It happened even when an adult was initial remover. Now the "stickers" will NOT re-stick to the foundations. This poses a serious storage problem in the long run as the features all curl and fall to the bottom of the little box. Next, These are darling cute, but they are NOT the more expensive better quality "stickers" from my childhood. They barely cling to the foundation once removed. They will stick to the faces if CAREFULLY applied and smoothed down, but don't like to layer. If not handled carefully, they tend to warp. Also, they desperately want to curl up. Again, they fall off the faces when stored in the little box. The product is advertised for 3 and up. My children are 3,5 & 6. Not one of my children was truly successful without help. This left them and me frustrated, and ultimately funny faces failed as a quiet time toy for this reason. Its too bad really because Peaceable Kingdom press went above and beyond with the actual visual appeal. Note: This product was not exposed to any extreme conditions (i.e. high heat or freezing cold) nor are my children abusive to toys.
