Color Slam is a speedy sliding puzzle with a satisfying finish: when your pattern is done, you slam the cover shut. A cube shaker shows the target colors, and you shuffle tiles on your board to match. It is compact enough to travel.

  • 2 colorful puzzle boards and 48 tiles are included
  • 2 cube shakers set the color target for each round
  • Link the boards together for a two-player showdown
  • Solo mode lets you race your own best time
  • Small footprint suits car rides and waiting rooms

How it plays at home

Shake the cube, study the color arrangement, then slide your tiles to copy it before anyone else. The first person to finish the pattern and close the cover wins the round. It rewards quick eyes and clear thinking about how to move tiles through the gaps.

Solo players can chase a personal time, while two players can connect their boards for a direct duel. It is good for kids ages 6 and up who like quick, repeatable games. Tip: look at where the hardest-to-move tile needs to end up first, then work around it.

Great game, colors are tough to discern

We have the earlier " Square up" version of this game and it is a long time family favorite. We've loved it so much it was time to replace as the pieces became difficult to move. Square up is discontinued but it seems that Mindware replaced it with this. The game plays the same but unfortunately the colors in the shake cube are really difficult to discern from one another. Yellow looks like green and orange looks like pink, it's a mess! We keep our phones handy and make it work but it impacts the game play for sure.

Fun, but needs to be fixed

Game is a lot of fun, however the colors on the shaker are really hard to tell the difference between green and yellow. We look at the shaker and agree what the colors are first.
