Skippity fills the board with colorful round skippers and invites you to hop over them like checkers. Instead of taking a king, you are collecting a rainbow: the first to gather full color sets scores best.

The board starts filled with 100 colorful skippers, plus instructions
Any skipper can jump on your turn, and the piece you jump over is yours to keep
Your goal is complete sets with all 5 colors, and the most sets wins
No reading is involved, which helps early-grade players take part
Practice planning ahead by noticing what jumps you leave open for the next person

How it plays at home

On your turn, you jump one skipper over a neighbor into an empty space and collect the one you leapt. As the board clears, chains of jumps open up and the game speeds up. You are always choosing between grabbing the color you need and denying someone else theirs.

It is easy to teach to a five-year-old, yet the blocking decisions give adults something to think about. Tip: before every jump, look at what space it leaves empty, since that is the next player's opening.
