Bouncin' Billy Goats is a small, speedy strategy game built around trampoline spaces that send pieces flying across the board. It plays in about 15 minutes with two or three players, which makes it a good bridge between simple kids' games and real strategy. Kids and grown-ups can sit down on equal footing.

Designed for 2 or 3 players
Trampoline tiles add surprise and momentum to each move
A round lasts about 15 minutes, so setup-to-finish is short
Planning ahead and flexible thinking get a real workout
Moving the pieces is a good practice in fine motor control and turn-taking

How it plays at home

Each player plans a path across the board, and the trampoline spaces can change the plan in an instant. Kids start to think a step or two ahead without anyone calling it a lesson. Because the rules are light, a grown-up can play at full strength without taking the fun out of it.

This is a good pick for a child who is ready to move past luck-only games. Keep a game running in the background while dinner finishes, since a full round is short.
