How it plays at home

Each turn you place tiles from your hand into a line that matches in color or shape, then score for every tile in the lines you touched. Finish a line of six different tiles and you have a Qwirkle, which earns a bonus. The fun is in spotting the setup nobody else sees.

Families like it because a seven-year-old and a grown-up can both compete honestly. Tip: when teaching, play the first round with hands face up so new players see why some placements score more than others.
